Notes:
-
Categories are fuzzy entities so sometimes the assignment of glyphs can appear very subjective and arbitrary. It is, we are conscious of it, but yet this is a useful tool to sort and at the same time to help the creation of a coherent style for glyphs which belong to the same - although broad - semantic space.
-
Many of the glyphs appearing on the wordlists are temporary borrowings from the web. These will all ultimately be recreated to *) avoid any copyright issues *) be consistent in form and style *) be of high quality, culturally-neutral, unambiguous.
-
The difference between Composites and Phrases: the first ones can only be formed by two core glyphs (coming either from the same category or from two different ones) and represent new meanings coming from the meaning of the two elements. Phrases on the other hand are common combinations of glyphs or composites following the standard MG grammar. Because of their frequency and utility, they get an attached explanation/translation and they appear in input programs.
