"Humancentric"

One of the primary goals underlying the language design of MediaGlyphs is to ensure it remains unbiased in terms of race, gender, and cultural representation. We are dedicated to maintaining neutrality across all aspects of the project, especially when it comes to creating glyphs, defining concepts or semantic relationships, and constructing example sentences.

To that end, we are committed to developing a language that is free from centric biases and discriminatory ideologies. Our aim is to create a truly humancentric language, devoid of racism, sexism, eurocentrism, or any other form of bias.

Numerous languages exhibit deeply ingrained biases stemming from their historical origins and the societies that speak them. It is not uncommon for the "male" gender to be treated as the default in many languages, including constructed languages like Esperanto. Additionally, terms such as "black" often carry negative connotations such as "evil" or "illegal".

Some biases are less apparent but still require recognition and avoidance. For instance, the English word "sinister," which carries predominantly negative meanings, traces its roots back to the Old French word "sinistre" and, before that, the Latin word "sinister," meaning "left hand". Conversely, "dexterous" or "dextrous" is derived from "right hand".

The MediaGlyphs project embodies our unwavering commitment to foster a global language and visual representation that should transcend cultural, gender and other biases. We aspire to create a platform that is accessible and relevant to people of all backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.

We encourage contributions from individuals worldwide, warmly welcoming their ideas, points of view, and experiences. We aim to shape the MediaGlyphs language into a system which is rich, representative, culturally inclusive and abundant in diversity.

Through our efforts to transcend biases and discrimination, we wish to pave the way for a more interconnected and understanding world, where individuals from different cultures and backgrounds can communicate and express themselves on equal footing, promoting greater equality and empathy among all individuals.
